Rule Changes

“Fans of the ACC” is a league that stands on the shoulders of each owner who it exists because of. It is important for the league to continually strive to be the best fantasy baseball league that it possibly can be. This can only be achieved through a constant state of self-assessment and improvement. That is why each owner in the league is encouraged to introduce any new ideas or suggest changes regarding our operations, or any other area of concern.

An owner may propose a rule change at any time. To do so, the owner needs to draft a brief proposal and send it to the Commissioner. The proposal should clearly explain the situation being raised. The proposal must follow the description with concrete sides of the issue to vote on. Upon receiving a proposal, the Commissioner will automatically submit the written proposal to every owner in the league- without recognition of who the original author was.

Once the proposal is emailed out by the commissioners office, there is a review period where owners are free to comment openly on the proposal. Review period duration follows normal league Communication Requirement standards. At the end of the review period, the Commissioner calls for a vote. All owners then vote to either accept or reject the proposed rule change.

At least two-thirds of the ownership must agree for any existing rule, policy, or procedure change to occur. A simple majority is required for new rules, policies or procedures. If any aspect of the league that directly affects a single season competition is changed, the changes will not take effect until the next off-season.

The rules stated herein shall be used to resolve any disputes that arise between owners. Since we are all adults, it is each owner's responsibility to abide by the rules in place and all actions shall be in the spirit of the rules. In cases where the rules are not defined and the two owners cannot reconcile the differences themselves, the dispute will be resolved via majority vote by the league. Just like rule changes, there will be a 24 hour debate period to air both sides of the case before it goes to vote. All owners must vote, there will be no abstaining. All owners shall abide by this vote.
