Glossary
- Communication Requirements
- The governing principles that define how our league owners communicate. These requirements are to be adhered to by all owners, at all times.
- Draft Keeper List
- To be submitted ten days prior to the Official Draft date. This list contains between four and seven players that the owner intends to keep to begin the next season. This list may be changed in creating the Final Draft Keeper List.
- FansOfTheACC.com
- The official league website. This site may be used to track off-season activity, review league statistics and history, and obtain other baseball information.
- Final Keeper List
- To be submitted five days prior to the Official Draft date. This list contains between four and seven players that the owner will keep to begin the next season. This list is final and cannot be altered or changed in any way.
- Franchises
- The foundation of the league. Franchises do not change although teams and owners may change throughout the years. The franchises remain intact and provide for historical consistency.
- Frozen Rosters
- Owners may not trade any players from their rosters.
- Future Considerations
- A tool to be used in negotiating off-season trades for owners who may not have as much to offer from their roster.
- Keepers
- Players that remain on a franchise roster from the previous off-season to begin the new season.
- Keeper System
- The process that takes place before the start of each new season. This system outlines how the keeper transactions are made.
- Official Draft
- The online ESPN draft that occurs each spring. This is when owners select players who are not kept from the previous season to fill their rosters and begin a new season.
- Ownership Improvement Process
- The process by which the league insures that continual improvement is achieved. This process allows the league to identify potential improvement areas within ownership and act accordingly to achieve that improvement.
- Protected Players
- Players that may not be drafted in the Supplemental Draft. Owners may protect up to four of their players before the Supplemental Draft begins and then may have the option to protect additional players during the draft.
- Supplemental Draft
- The league talent-sharing system. This draft takes place one month before the new season begins. It allows teams with less talent to draft players from the better teams so that they may improve in preparation for the upcoming season.
