About Fans Of The ACC

Fans of the ACC is a dynamic fantasy baseball league that was created prior to the 2003 Major League Baseball season. It was developed to bring together owners who share a few common things. This is a league filled with owners who really know their baseball. Fans of the ACC owners play the game hard, and practically every single day of the season. They are constantly open to, and attempting to, upgrade their rosters during, before, and after the season. They are aided in doing so because everyone makes an attempt to know each other and to speak with each other regularly. And of course, as our name suggests, we all love the Atlantic Coast Conference.

While we use CBS Sportsline to manage our league in season, Fans of the ACC is a league that is active all year round. This is due to our unique keeper system. The system is designed to mirror the way real life Major League franchises operate. If our franchises have a bad year, they need to rebuild through trading, prospects and our Supplemental Drafting system, which spreads around talent from the major market franchises to those who have struggled. As in real life, each of our franchises will reap the rewards of shrewd management, or pay the price for poor long-term decision-making.

Franchises in this league may be bought and sold, or even traded. We can also make blockbuster off-season trades. And finally, every spring, each franchise makes another run at improvement, and hopefully at a championship, with renewed hope. That hope is not only fed by new players and/or new management, but also tempered with the memories and consequences of the prior year. This is the type of league that Fans of the ACC is.

I am extremely pleased to be part of such a great group of owners. Thank you to each of you for contributing to this league and for sharing in the vision and goals that define what we are all about.
